Third-Quarter Results and Super Intelligence Turnaround
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SPCX) reported third-quarter revenue of $14.6 billion, a 161% year-over-year increase, and net income of $4.4 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Operating income was $2.8 billion, and adjusted EBITDA reached $8.8 billion.
Connectivity remained the main profit driver, generating $5.2 billion in revenue and about $2.4 billion in segment operating income. Space operations recorded a $7 million operating loss. The company reported 13.6 million Starlink consumer subscribers during the quarter.
The Super Intelligence segment produced $7.6 billion in revenue, rising 195% sequentially and 830% year over year, significantly shifting the company’s revenue mix toward AI services and cloud computing. The unit swung to operating income of $431 million, reversing a $1.7 billion operating loss a year earlier. This result included $1.2 billion of share-based compensation related to the Cursor acquisition.
Super Intelligence’s nameplate compute capacity stood at 1.7 gigawatts as of September 30, 2026. The filing attributed SI revenue growth primarily to new cloud services agreements, the Cursor acquisition, and increased Grok adoption among enterprise customers and consumers. The segment’s profitability and documented compute capacity have intensified investor scrutiny of demand from hyperscalers and suppliers of AI chips.
