Record Quarter and Outlook

NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) reported fiscal first-quarter revenue of $81.6 billion, an 85% increase from a year earlier, according to the company’s earnings release. Data Center revenue reached $71.3 billion, up 73% year over year, making it the company’s largest business segment for the period.

GAAP net income was $18.8 billion, with diluted GAAP earnings per share of $0.76 and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $0.81. Quarterly gross margin stood at 60.5% on a GAAP basis and 61.0% on a non-GAAP basis.

For the second fiscal quarter, Nvidia set revenue guidance of $85.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, implying a range of about $83.3 billion to $86.7 billion.

Capital Returns and Business Structure

The board authorized an additional $60.0 billion in share repurchases, with no expiration date specified. The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.01 per share, payable on July 3, 2026, to shareholders of record on June 11.

Nvidia will report under two operating segments going forward: Data Center and Gaming & AI. The earnings materials noted that the rollout of the Blackwell platform is underway. Management said demand is broadening beyond hyperscalers to include enterprises, governments, and internet companies.

The new repurchase authorization, dividend, and revenue guidance reflect an assertive capital-return strategy as Nvidia expands its AI infrastructure business.
