The company returned $827 million to shareholders, including $689 million in share repurchases and $138 million in cash dividends. It set fourth-quarter revenue guidance between $3.19 billion and $3.24 billion, with non-GAAP earnings per share expected in the range of $1.48 to $1.53. The outlook assumes continued investment in strategic priorities where eBay sees competitive advantages.
Category Momentum and Operations
Management said focus-category GMV increased 24%, led by collectibles, eBay Motors, fashion, and refurbished goods. These categories grew 19 percentage points faster than the rest of the marketplace, driving overall top-line and volume gains.
eBay Live reached a multibillion-dollar annualized GMV run rate, showing traction across collectibles, fashion, handbags, watches, and home and garden.
The company expanded its Authenticity Guarantee to eligible collectible coins in the U.S. through a partnership with the Professional Coin Grading Service. It also lowered mandatory trading-card authentication price thresholds in the U.S. and U.K., part of an operational trust-and-safety expansion to support higher-value recommerce.
CEO Jamie Iannone said, “eBay’s strong third quarter results reflect continued momentum across our business priorities and customer segments as more consumers embrace recommerce.”
