Broadcom Inc. (AVGO) expanded its AI revenue expectations on Sept. 2, 2026, after management outlined a multiyear ramp in AI-semiconductor sales. The company cited secured supply and strong customer demand to support this growth, which underpinned its robust Q3 FY2026 results.
Quarterly Results and Profitability
Broadcom reported consolidated revenue of $29.6 billion in Q3 FY2026, an 86.0% increase year over year. AI semiconductor revenue reached $16.7 billion, rising 221.0% year over year and 54.0% sequentially.
Operating income totaled $20.1 billion, producing a 67.9% operating margin. Free cash flow was $13.7 billion, or 46.0% of revenue. These strong margins and cash generation give Broadcom flexibility to invest in capacity and prioritize capital returns while scaling AI deployments.
Guidance and Multiyear Outlook
The company set consolidated revenue guidance of $34.8 billion for Q4 FY2026, with AI semiconductor revenue expected at $21.7 billion, a 236.0% year-over-year increase. Management raised the fiscal-year 2026 AI revenue outlook to $58.0 billion from $56.0 billion.
Looking further ahead, Broadcom projected AI revenue of roughly $115.0 billion in fiscal 2027 and about $230.0 billion in fiscal 2028. Management said it had secured supply and cited strong customer demand but noted execution depends on availability of wafers, substrates, high-bandwidth memory (HBM), land, power, and other system components.
This framework positions AI as the primary driver of Broadcom’s top-line growth and suggests the published guidance may be conservative relative to underlying demand.
Capital Returns
Broadcom’s board approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.65 per share, payable Sept. 30, 2026, to shareholders of record on Sept. 21, 2026. The dividend reflects the company’s strong free-cash-flow and margin profile, balancing shareholder returns with investments to expand manufacturing and system capabilities for AI workloads.
