Spin-Off Terms and Business

Comcast said in a Business Wire press release on Jan. 5 at 7:00 a.m. ET that it distributed one share of Versant Class A or Class B common stock for every 25 shares of Comcast Class A or Class B common stock. For example, a shareholder with 250 Comcast shares would receive ten Versant shares. The distribution applied equally across both classes of Comcast stock.

The company’s portfolio includes cable television networks and digital properties such as Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes. The spin-off was first announced in November 2024. Comcast confirmed the separation’s completion on Jan. 2, 2026, and Versant’s Nasdaq listing followed three days later.

"VERSANT will commence trading today on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol VSNT," the company said in its Jan. 5 press release.
