Comcast said in a Business Wire press release on Jan. 5 at 7:00 a.m. ET that it distributed one share of Versant Class A or Class B common stock for every 25 shares of Comcast Class A or Class B common stock. For example, a shareholder with 250 Comcast shares would receive ten Versant shares. The distribution applied equally across both classes of Comcast stock.

"VERSANT will commence trading today on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol VSNT," the company said in its Jan. 5 press release.
