SpaceX reported third-quarter results on Oct. 20, 2026, with earnings more than doubling as its AI-focused Super Intelligence unit and connectivity business boosted profit, subscriber growth, and capital spending on AI infrastructure.

AI Revenue Drives Profit

SpaceX reported Q3 2026 revenue of $14.6 billion, up 161% year over year for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026. Net income reached $4.4 billion, with diluted earnings per share of $0.35. The Super Intelligence segment generated about $7.6 billion in revenue, rising 830% year over year and accounting for roughly 52% of total sales. Adjusted EBITDA, a proxy for operating profit, was approximately $8.8 billion, up 306% from a year earlier.

Connectivity revenue totaled about $5.2 billion, increasing 69% year over year. Starlink consumer subscribers reached 13.6 million at the end of the quarter, up 1.6 million from the prior period. Space-segment revenue was approximately $1.77 billion, compared with $1.67 billion a year earlier.

Capital Spending, Acquisition, and Launch Activity

SpaceX’s capital expenditures for the quarter were roughly $19.6 billion, nearly equal to quarterly revenue. About $16.4 billion, or 84% of capex, was allocated to AI infrastructure, reflecting the company’s focus on expanding compute capacity.

During Q3, SpaceX completed its approximately $60 billion acquisition of AI coding company Cursor, which contributed to Super Intelligence revenue. The company also completed its first revenue-generating Starship mission, deploying 26 Starlink V3 satellites.

The scale of spending and the Cursor acquisition position SpaceX to expand AI services and connectivity revenue through continued investment in AI computing infrastructure.
