Salesforce raised its fiscal 2027 revenue forecast on August 26, citing enterprise adoption of its AI agents and an expanded partnership with Anthropic after reporting a record second quarter that strengthened margins and cash flow.

Record Quarter Lifts Guidance

For the quarter ended July 31, 2026, Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE: CRM) reported total revenue of $11.3 billion, an 11% increase year over year. Subscription and support revenue rose 12% to $10.8 billion, including a $440 million contribution from Informatica. Remaining performance obligation (RPO) reached $66.3 billion, up 11%, with current RPO for the next 12 months at $33.5 billion, a 14% increase.

GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) were $4.29, up 119% year over year, while non-GAAP diluted EPS rose 103% to $5.90. GAAP operating margin was 20.5%, and non-GAAP operating margin was 34.1%. Chair and CEO Marc Benioff said, “We just delivered one of our best quarters ever, outperforming across every key metric.”

Operating cash flow totaled $1.3 billion, a 71% increase, and free cash flow reached $1.1 billion, up 81%. The company returned $364 million in dividends and continued executing a previously announced $25 billion accelerated share-repurchase program.

A Form 8-K filed with the SEC updated full-year fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to a range of $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion, implying roughly 11–12% year-over-year growth. The filing reaffirmed a non-GAAP operating margin target of 34.3% and disclosed a $2.6 billion gain on strategic investments, largely tied to Salesforce’s stake in Anthropic, which materially boosted reported earnings. The outlook reflects organic growth plus acquisitions expected to close this quarter.

AI Momentum and Anthropic Partnership

Salesforce attributed part of the raised guidance to enterprise adoption of AI-powered autonomous agents. Annualized revenue from its Agentforce AI products exceeded $1.5 billion, growing about 240% year over year, highlighting AI as a significant growth driver.

The company expanded its partnership with Anthropic by launching Claudeforce, a plugin that integrates Salesforce CRM workflows into Anthropic’s Claude chatbot. Claudeforce includes 37 pre-built sales skills that allow users to compose emails, update records, prepare for meetings, review deal health, and analyze pipelines without opening the Salesforce interface. The product is currently running with a select group of pilot customers, will launch in preview next month, and will add skills for other business functions later this year. This marks the first time Salesforce has appended its “force” suffix to another company’s product name.

By raising its full-year outlook while maintaining margin targets, Salesforce positioned AI agents and selective acquisitions as drivers of incremental growth without sacrificing profitability. The company relied on strategic investment gains and stronger cash flow to fund capital returns as it scales new product integrations.
