Meta Platforms on June 23, 2026 introduced Meta Glasses, a lower-priced line of AI smart glasses starting at $299 that ships with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark and aims to broaden the company’s consumer wearables footprint.

Product Features and Specifications

Meta Glasses are a Meta-branded, lower-priced addition to the partners’ Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta lines, designed to expand adoption of camera-first wearables. Unlike the higher-end models, these frames carry only Meta branding and omit an in-lens display.

The launch includes three frame families—Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury, and a slim oval co-designed with Kylie Jenner—offered in 26 style combinations. The color palette ranges from Classic Black and Classic Tortoise to Racing Green and Merlot, with lens options including sun, Transitions, polarized, and clear. The designs feature three-way adjustable nose pads and a refined fit to enhance comfort and personalization.

The hardware follows the partners’ AI-glasses architecture, featuring a 12-megapixel camera for point-of-view photo capture and support for up to 3K video. Audio comes through open-ear speakers, while a multi-microphone noise-reduction system supports voice capture and AI interactions.

Battery life exceeds eight hours on a single charge, and a foldable charging case provides up to 40 additional hours of power.

Meta said in a blog post, "Meta Glasses are our first AI glasses to launch with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark from Day 1." The integration aims to deliver a consistent AI experience across Meta’s glasses portfolio and bring its assistant to a wider range of wearable devices.

Distribution and Strategic Context

Meta Glasses are available immediately on Meta.com and at optical and electronics retailers including LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Best Buy, and Amazon. Initial markets include the U.S., U.K., Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Australia.

The design supports prescription lenses across a total power range of −12 to +2.25, with online ordering covering −6 to +2.25. Meta also introduced an Rx Lens Swap service that lets customers add prescription lenses through their preferred optician without voiding the warranty.

EssilorLuxottica described the collection as expanding accessibility of the AI-glasses category and deepening the partners’ commercial relationship and retail reach across their AI eyewear portfolio. The combination of a lower entry price, multiple styles, and optical-channel distribution aims to broaden consumer access to AI smart eyewear while extending the companies’ route to volume.
