Lenovo earnings spurred a record-high stock response after the company described the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2026, as its strongest ever, driven by surging AI hardware demand and resilient PC sales.

Record Quarterly Results

Lenovo Group Limited (HKSE: 992; ADRs: LNVGF, LNVGY) reported group revenue of $26.9 billion, up 43.0% year over year, surpassing analyst expectations of about $22.3 billion. Adjusted net income rose 176.0% to $1.1 billion, marking the first quarter above the $1 billion threshold.

Under reported accounting, the company swung to a net loss attributable to shareholders of $609 million, compared with a profit of $505 million a year earlier, due to a nonrecurring fair-value loss on warrants. Shares reached a record high following the results.

Segment Strength and AI Backlog

AI-related revenue totaled $9.3 billion, up 60.0% year over year, accounting for 35.0% of group revenue. Infrastructure Solutions Group revenue nearly doubled, rising 98.0% to $8.5 billion, with operating profit of $777 million and a 9.1% operating margin. The Solutions and Services Group reported revenue of $2.9 billion, up 28.0%, with operating profit of $697 million. The Devices business posted revenue growth of 27.0%.

The AI server pipeline and backlog expanded to $54.0 billion, up 157.0% quarter on quarter. CEO Yuanqing Yang said the quarter showed "AI emerging as a clear growth engine across every business group."
