Fortinet Q2 earnings, disclosed in a press release on July 29, 2026, exceeded the high end of the company's guidance and prompted management to raise its full-year 2026 revenue and EPS outlook on accelerating cybersecurity demand.

Q2 Financial Results and Revenue Mix

Fortinet, Inc. (NASDAQ: FTNT), the Sunnyvale, California-based cybersecurity and networking company, reported second-quarter results for the period ended June 30, 2026. Total revenue rose 26% year over year to $2.05 billion, surpassing the Street consensus of about $1.89 billion.

Product revenue surged 52% to $773 million, driven by hardware refresh cycles and broader platform adoption. Service revenue increased 14% to $1.27 billion. Billings expanded 33% to $2.37 billion, reflecting strong customer commitments to Fortinet’s platform.

Profitability, Cash Flow, and Margins

Fortinet posted GAAP net income of $606.3 million. GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) reached $0.82, while adjusted EPS was $0.90, both above prior guidance and analyst estimates. GAAP operating margin stood at 34%, with a non-GAAP margin of 38%.

Operating cash flow totaled $1.04 billion, and free cash flow rose to $966 million, more than tripling the year-ago figure of $284 million.

Updated 2026 Guidance and Outlook

The company raised its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting revenue between $8.02 billion and $8.18 billion, implying about 19% growth from 2025. Adjusted EPS guidance increased to a range of $3.41 to $3.47, up from prior estimates of $3.10 to $3.16. Billings guidance was set between $9.35 billion and $9.55 billion.

For the third quarter ending September 30, 2026, Fortinet expects revenue of $2.01 billion to $2.10 billion and adjusted EPS of $0.83 to $0.87. Management attributed the stronger outlook to accelerating demand across secure networking, cloud security, zero-trust access, and security operations. Innovation tied to the "AI Era" also contributed to customer interest.

The company said its results "exceed the high end of second quarter guidance on revenue and profitability and raise 2026 revenue guidance to 19% year over year growth."
