Arista Networks topped Q2 earnings estimates on Aug. 4, 2026, and raised near-term guidance as accelerating AI and cloud demand pushed the outlook higher, signaling sustained hyperscale infrastructure spending across customers and enterprise segments.
Second Quarter Results and Guidance
Arista reported revenue of $3.036 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, a 12.1% sequential increase and a 37.7% gain year over year. GAAP net income was $1.21 billion, with GAAP diluted earnings per share of $0.95 and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.02, compared with GAAP $0.70 and non-GAAP $0.73 a year earlier. This marked the company’s first quarter exceeding $3 billion in revenue.
The results surpassed the company’s prior Q2 guidance issued with Q1 results, which forecast revenue near $2.8 billion, a non-GAAP gross margin of 62–63%, an operating margin around 46–47%, and EPS near $0.88. Street consensus had clustered around $2.83 billion in revenue and $0.86–$0.89 in adjusted EPS. Arista outpaced its guidance by roughly 8–9% on revenue and beat consensus by about 7–8%, while adjusted EPS exceeded targets by approximately 15–18%.
For Q3, Arista guided revenue of about $3.3 billion and a non-GAAP operating margin of 48–49%. Coverage corroborated a near-term adjusted EPS range consistent with $1.06–$1.08 per share.
AI Networking Drives Growth and Strategy Validation
Arista framed the results as validation of its Arista 2.0 platform strategy, reflecting accelerating AI networking demand and broader cloud spending. After a first quarter with $2.7 billion in revenue and diluted EPS of $0.87, management raised the full-year 2026 outlook to target 27.7% revenue growth, about $11.5 billion, maintained a campus revenue goal of $1.25 billion, and increased its AI fabrics target to $3.5 billion.
The company describes itself as an industry leader in data-driven, client-to-cloud networking for large AI, data center, campus, and routing environments. Its networking equipment powers major data centers for customers including Microsoft and Amazon. The stronger-than-expected quarter and lifted Q3 outlook reinforce management’s 2026 trajectory and underscore the company’s effort to convert hyperscale AI spending into broader enterprise and campus networking growth.
Jayshree Ullal, Arista’s chairperson and CEO, said, "Customers see networking as the central nervous system of AI and cloud data centers."
