Apple expanded its partnership with Broadcom in a chip deal announced July 8, 2026, committing to U.S.-based production of custom wireless chips and reinforcing its American Manufacturing Program.

Multiyear Agreement and Production Targets

Apple said in a press release that the multiyear agreement with Broadcom is expected to exceed $30 billion. The deal will produce more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips and support hundreds of American jobs, reflecting a significant expansion of domestic chip manufacturing capacity. The components include custom silicon and advanced wireless connectivity technologies for a broad range of Apple products.

The company framed the pact as a manufacturing and supply-chain commitment under its American Manufacturing Program (AMP), emphasizing industrial investment to secure long-term capacity rather than providing financial guidance.

Fort Collins Expansion and American Manufacturing Program

Broadcom will invest $1.5 billion to expand and modernize its Fort Collins, Colorado, facilities to support production of the custom wireless components Apple plans to source domestically. Apple said this partnership is part of AMP and aligns with its broader pledge to invest $600 billion in the U.S. economy over four years.

Broadcom disclosed in SEC-related filings on July 6 that its expanded supply agreement with Apple runs through 2031. Together with Apple’s announcement, these filings mark a sustained expansion of Apple’s domestic manufacturing footprint.

Apple described the arrangement as its largest AMP commitment to date. The company did not provide revenue, margin, or earnings guidance tied specifically to the agreement.
