NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) reported stronger fourth-quarter results on Feb. 2, 2026, emphasizing software-defined vehicles, physical AI and acquisitions while setting an early-2026 outlook based on improving automotive and industrial demand.

Fourth-Quarter Results and Early-2026 Outlook

NXP reported fourth-quarter revenue of $3.34 billion for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, exceeding the midpoint of its guidance. The company said revenue showed sequential gains across automotive, industrial and Internet of Things (IoT) end markets.

The early-2026 revenue outlook was presented above Wall Street estimates, driven by robust automotive demand and steady industrial demand that the company said signals an industrial-market bottom. Management described the outlook as building on sequential momentum from the fourth quarter.

The company highlighted advances in software-defined vehicles and physical AI, noting that recent acquisitions strengthened its edge-intelligent systems for automotive, industrial and IoT applications. NXP framed full-year 2025 execution as demonstrating operational discipline despite a challenging first half. It cited disciplined investment, margin expansion and portfolio optimization as the path to profitable revenue growth.

“These actions, combined with an improving demand environment, position NXP for profitable revenue growth,” said Rafael Sotomayor, president and CEO.
